Pre-Departure

The last two weeks of grad school were crazy. Loads of work, lots of partying, and many sad goodbyes. Then it was time to go. Alex and I pack up and head to LA, a 1/2way stop on my way home to Sacramento. We survived 7 hours with no AC and made it to his mom's house for a wonderful dinner, awesome wines, and great company. Then I continued onto Sacramento, another 6 hours with no AC. It was a rough ride, but I made it home and started packing for my around the world adventure. Three days and 1000 errands later I am prepared. Got my travel insurance (thanks Brian Brock!), my Tylenol PM, my giant SD card, and the rest of the things that fit in my pack for the next three months of my life. Tomorrow afternoon I leave for Lagos, arriving Tuesday afternoon at 330pm. Miss Titi will pick me up from the airport and we go straight to the tailor to get my dress sewn for the wedding. From here it begins!
